Dear Diary
My artist film delves into the raw, unfiltered emotions of a shy, introverted teenaged over thinker, through the lens of my 22-year old self. By revisiting and reacting to the diaries I kept during my formative teenage years, I create a dialogue between the past and present versions of myself, bridging a gap through time. The film weaves together footage of me reading my old diary entries with hand drawn mixed media animations of myself from both childhood and present day. The result offers a unique and deeply personal exploration of memory, growth, femininity and self-reflection, bringing my younger voice back to life on screen.
